Paris Saint-Germain will be returning to Ligue 1 action with a home matchup with RC Lens. This is a Lens side that managed to pull off a massive upset earlier this season when it defeated PSG by a 1-0 final score. More so, Lens is lead by a promising attack, which includes PSG loanee Arnaud Kalimuendo.
As noted by Ligue 1’s official website, here is how PSG could elect to line up against Lens.
Navas; Dagba, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Diallo; Paredes, Gueye; Draxler, Neymar, Kean; Icardi
PSG still trails Lille OSC by a mere one point in the Ligue 1 standings, so the side can not afford to rest key players for this matchup. Thus, Keylor Navas may be expected to start for the side in this must-win fixture.
PSG has the depth to rest starters within its backline. Still, it may seem that Marquinhos could be called to start this match mere days ahead of the UEFA Champions League semifinal second leg bout with Manchester City.
Marco Verratti could be provided with a day off for this matchup. Thus, Leandro Paredes could once again be tasked with patrolling PSG’s midfield setup.
Kylian Mbappe is out for this matchup due to a right calf injury. The likes of Mauro Icardi and Moise Kean may end up being selected to start in this fixture to help guide PSG’s potent attacking setup upfront.
PSG could move into first place in the Ligue 1 standings pending Lille’s result with OGC Nice on the matchday.
