PSG Mercato: Liverpool Forward Mohamed Salah the First Option to Replace Kylian Mbappé in Case of a Departure

The first option for Paris Saint-Germain to keep Kylian Mbappé. However, should they have to depart with the 22-year-old this summer due to both parties not reaching a contract extension, the capital club will need to shift plans to replace their superstar forward.

According to Téléfoot (via Canal Supporters), those in charge have various players that they’d go after to replace Mbappé should they have to depart with the superstar.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino would like to use the transfer sum from a potential Mbappé sale to pursue Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane and reunite with his former player. PSG sporting director would like to pursue a cheaper option in Lionel Messi, whose contract expires, and the French giants don’t need to pay a transfer fee.

However, the bosses in Doha have another name they’d like to see in Paris, Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah. Furthermore, the report states that there’s been contact established between PSG and Salah’s representatives.

If Mbappé extends his contract, this will all be for not. Nevertheless, PSG is making sure to have plans B, C, and D ready should they have to depart from the 22-year-old.

  1. I doubt Mo would want to finish his career playing in such a weak league. Salah’s agent will talk to anybody if he senses money is there for him.
