In two fixtures against Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco has scored five goals while conceding two to the capital club. As a result, Les Monégasques have won their two fixtures against PSG.

Monaco’s latest 2-0 victory at the Parc des Princes had manager Niko Kovač smiling from ear to ear during his postgame interview with Canal PlusCanal Supporters relayed the Croatian tacticians’ thoughts on his squad coming away with three points, inching closer to the UEFA Champions competition and the Ligue 1 title.

“I am delighted with the performance of my team. We know that PSG is an outstanding team. We played hard for 90 minutes. We deserve this victory; PSG did not have much opportunity. I congratulate my players,” Kovač said.

“A tactical match? Yes. We had to erase Kylian Mbappé because he’s a great striker. We had to double or triple the marking on him, deprive him of the ball. When the ball was in the middle, my three midfielders were excellent. We didn’t concede a lot of chances. Tonight it was magnificent. We have beaten PSG twice; we are thrilled.”
