After Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick against FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, plenty of Real Madrid supporters called for president Florentino Pérez to back up the Brinks truck to purchase the 22-year-old.
Then the following day, Erling Haaland scored two goals in Borussia Dortmund’s win over Sevilla FC. Various reports have Los Blancos going after one of these two players this summer. During his press conference, the Spanish media asked midfielder Toni Kroos which of the two players he would choose.
“They are two excellent players,” Kroos said. “I think they can both help all the teams. It’s normal, with the quality they have. The problem is that tomorrow they won’t help me; it doesn’t help me to talk about them; it’s not my topic. That is a question for Florentino Pérez.”
