PSG Still Has Not Recorded a Comeback Win in Ligue 1 This Season

Paris Saint-Germain’s up-and-down Ligue 1 campaign carried on with its surprising 2-0 loss to AS Monaco. The defeat for PSG meant that not only did Monaco come away with the season sweep but also now stands at a mere two points behind the reigning French champions in the current standings.

More so, one notable trend continued in this match. PSG still has not won a match this season in which it trailed in. The French powerhouse has at one point trailed in eight league matches this season and among these fixtures, the side is at six losses and two draws.

This includes both of PSG’s league fixtures against Monaco this season. In the away meeting, PSG blew a 2-0 lead and wound up trailing by a 3-2 score, which then finished as the final in the match. And in the home matchup, Monaco scored the opener of the match and did not look back.

PSG does have one comeback win this season, which came in the recent UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg fixture against Barcelona. PSG went behind early thanks to a Lionel Messi penalty goal but stormed back to score four unanswered goals to clinch the 4-1 win.

It will be interesting to see how PSG responds in the next time that it falls behind in a league match this season.
