Official Lineup: Neymar on the Bench for PSG’s Ligue 1 Showdown Against Marseille

Over the first two meetings between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille this season, the pair of battles turned out to be tense and drama-filled fixtures. Now, for the third time this season, the two sides will meet in what is essentially the tie-breaking duel of the season. Marseille won the first matchup of the season while PSG tied the season series by claiming the Trophee des Champions trophy.

With PSG in another must-win matchup, here is how manager Mauricio Pochettino is lining up the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

Keylor Navas is unavailable for this fixture due to a groin injury, so Sergio Rico will once again start for the side out at the goalkeeper position. The Spanish goalkeeper earned the start for PSG in the Le Classique home league fixture earlier this season.

Marquinhos is finally back and available for PSG after being out of action due to injury. More so, Alessandro Florenzi takes a start out at the right-back position.

Another returning player for PSG is Marco Verratti, who had been out due to a positive coronavirus test. Leandro Paredes will start alongside Verratti for this critical matchup.

Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Mauro Icardi all will be upfront to lead PSG in the attack. This will be their biggest fixture together this season. Overall, Marseille will still have to be on the lookout for Neymar as he will begin the match on the bench.

This may be the most-watch fixture of the Ligue 1 season.
