The Paris Saint-Germain leaders all have ties to the club as sporting director Leonardo and manager Mauricio Pochettino both played for the capital club.
During an interview with Téléfoot: La Chaîne du Foot, where Canal Supporters relayed his comments, PSG legend Raí discussed the hiring of Pochettino by his former team.
Now that Leonardo appointed the Argentine tactician as his manager to work alongside, Raí believes that Leonardo will begin to mold Les Parisiens into his vision with the input of Pochettino.
“For Leonardo, it’s a new moment and project since his departure (in July 2013) and his first cycle with PSG. He had helped put together an amazing team in a very short time. In two years, PSG had already become one of the best teams in Europe. Last season, they went to the Champions League final,” Raí said.
“With all his history and the projects in which he has been part, I believe that Pochettino has the profile to have a very good career at PSG and try to take the club’s ambitions even further.”
