After a sluggish performance against AS Saint-Etienne, Mauricio Pochettino will turn to Paris Saint-Germain’s home Ligue 1 fixture against Brest for his possible first win as the new manager.
Training sessions can often give an indicator as to which formation a manager will go on to use for a fixture. And for Pochettino, he once again worked under a 4-2-3-1 setup during the team’s recent scheduled session. According to RMC Sport, he also went with the same starting lineup that he used in the contest against Saint-Etienne.
Thus, PSG’s starting 11 for its fixture against Brest may look like this.
Navas; Dagba, Kehrer, Marquinhos, Bakker; Gueye, Herrera; Mbappe, Verratti, Di Maria; Kean
Pochettino will receive several players back from injury, including both Mauro Icardi (adductors) and Alessandro Florenzi (ankle). These two players could play a role for the team off the bench and more so, playing time for the duo can help dust off any rust that they may have.
PSG needs this win to keep its small distance with current league-leaders Olympique Lyonnais.
