Mauricio Pochettino will be on the touchline against AS Saint-Etienne in what will be his first fixture as manager of Paris Saint-Germain. However, he will have to proceed on without the likes of Neymar and Presnel Kimpembe due to injury, according to a report from Le Parisien.
Neymar has continued to receive care for his left ankle injury, which is why he did not take part in Pochettino’s first two scheduled training sessions as manager of the team. Thus, Neymar will be unavailable to feature against Saint-Etienne.
The same applies to defender Kimpembe. He is still dealing with a hamstring injury. This slight injury is not deemed to be a serious one, but the club is slated to keep Kimpembe out of the fixture as a simple precaution.
PSG sure does hope to have both players back in time for the upcoming Trophee des Champions final against Olympique de Marseille next week.
