PSG Forward Icardi Will Miss 19th Fixture of the Season

Paris Saint-Germain has officially ruled out forward Mauro Icardi from its upcoming fixture against AS Saint-Etienne, the club announced on its official website.

Icardi is still dealing with an adductor injury that he suffered late last year. The Argentine forward is back in training and working towards a soon return to action with the team.

With Icardi being out from this fixture, he will miss his 19th game of the season. He did not play in any of the team’s UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures this season and has not featured for the side in a Ligue 1 match since the five-minute stint against Bordeaux.

More so, PSG also ruled out eight other players from the fixture against AS Saint-Etienne, including Presnel Kimpembe (hamstring), Neymar (ankle) and Leandro Paredes (hip). These three players are not dealing with any serious injuries and are projected to be back with the team later this month.
