Montpellier HSC is the next opponent for Paris Saint-Germain as the capital club resumes their Ligue 1 schedule after an impressive road victory at Old Trafford against Manchester United FC.
Gaëtan Laborde, Montpellier’s striker, spoke to the media ahead of their fixture versus Les Parisiens, where he discussed various topics, the first being what he expects from PSG.
“This week, we started calm. We will have to play a great game. PSG is a great team; we are ready to play a great game. You have to play a very big game to get a result against them. Is there a better time to face Paris with the players you have? They had several injuries, and they are recovering little by little,” Laborde said.
“I don’t know if this is the best time to face them. We focus on ourselves, we feel good, and we will try to make a great game. We are going to give 200%, we have quality in the team, but we will have to play an exceptional game to have a result.”
Laborde also took the opportunity to praise the players of the Parisian team.
“They are extraordinary players. You have to be careful. Sometimes it doesn’t depend on us. They are capable of doing extraordinary things. You have to have the ambition for power and want to get ahead. The mood is good, everyone is fine, and that’s why we also win games,” Laborde said.
“We have a quality team. We have confidence in ourselves. We have a lot of automation together, today we are very high in the classification, we take the points. On Saturday, we will play the game we have to play, and if we can win, we will not be shy.”
