Kylian Mbappé hit a milestone in his young career after Paris Saint-Germain picked up a 3-1 at the Stade de la Mosson against Montpellier HSC.

The 21-year-old scored the third goal in stoppage time, which marked his 100th with the capital club. Mbappé took to the microphone with Canal Plus to speak on the achievement among other questions that the French media outlet asked him.

One of the first questions thrown towards the PSG forward is his thoughts on reaching 100 goals with Les Parisiens.

“I had wanted to score this 100th goal for a few matches. It’s a liberation, especially in a big club like that with all the great players who have been here. When I signed here, I never expected to score three goals already,” Mbappé said.

“It was part of the distant goals, but to achieve it, I want to thank my teammates, the club that has given me confidence for three years, whether in good times or bad. Thank you to everyone who works there and my teammates too.”

Finally, the Canal Plus reporter ask the 21-year-old whether he ponders on reaching 200 goals with PSG, which would mean extending his contract to reach that milestone.

“Score 200 goals? I didn’t expect to score 100 goals already. 200 is still far away. Score goals already, score Tuesday in the Champions League. When I arrived, I wanted to improve as much as possible, and you don’t improve in a year,” Mbappé said.

“I have experienced a lot here. The club has always supported me, the supporters too. It’s great to have the support of people. I’ve been here for a little while, and that makes me happy.”

Mbappé didn’t mention his future when asked about potentially scoring 200 goals, but he does say his appreciation for how PSG and the supporters have treated him. We will see if that’s enough for the France international to extend his stay in Paris past 2022.
