Thomas Tuchel’s run with Paris Saint-Germain has been cut short as the board has reportedly decided to sack the manager. Tuchel had just finished the first half of the season as the club topped first in its UEFA Champions League group but also sits at a third place standing in Ligue 1 play.
Tuchel left behind a grand impact with the team. The German manager won six trophies, which ranks third in the club’s history behind Laurent Blanc (11) and Unai Emery (seven).
Tuchel’s run in league play was a historic one. According to Opta, the German manager logged a 75.6 percent win rate in league play, which is the highest among managers in the history of France’s top flight. He also notched a 2.37 points per game figure, which is tied with Emery for the highest in the league’s history.

Tuchel may be leaving this record for good, as it does not seem likely that he may return to manage in Ligue 1 again, whether for PSG or a club like Olympique Lyonnais.
