Despite overcoming their struggles in the UEFA Champions League, where they lost two of three to start the competition but won three in a row as they finished in first place to win Group H.
However, in Ligue 1, the capital club isn’t having any luck trying to distance themselves from the rest of the clubs. After their 1-0 loss to Olympique Lyonnais, PSG have dropped down to third place, surrendering the top of the table to Lille OSC.
As a result, manager Thomas Tuchel is on the hot seat, and many wonder if he will make it to the end of the 2020-21 season when his contract expires. If Les Parisiens struggle these last few fixtures of 2020, PSG sporting director Leonardo might need to make a move before their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matchup against FC Barcelona.
L‘Équipe (via Canal Supporters) reports that there will be discussions over Tuchel’s short-term future during the winter break. However, the German tactician can stay on board until June if they pick up wins against FC Lorient, Lille OSC, and RC Strasbourg Alsace.
Nonetheless, losing two of three or, worst, all three, then Tuchel might not be able to make it to the end of his contract.
