Report: Tuchel Advocates for PSG to Revisit Interest in Chelsea Defender Over Winter Transfer Window

The winter transfer window is due to open in a few days, and Paris Saint-Germain will be looking at economical ways to improve the current squad. With the injuries to Marquihos and Presnel Kimpembe, the capital club could add depth to the central defender position.  

According to Le Parisien, One transfer target that Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel is advocating for is Chelsea FC center-back Antonio Rüdiger. 

Rüdiger is an afterthought for The Blues as he’s only made one appearance this Premier League season, which was a November 21st start against Newcastle United FC. Meanwhile, in the UEFA Champions League competition, the 27-year-old has four appearances, with three of those being starts.

If Chelsea deems the Germany international expandable, then the capital club could have him on loan or at the very least an economical price. Over the summer, Tuchel and Les Parisiens were interested in Rüdiger, but Chelsea rejected loan bids according to 90min
