Report: Spanish Club Has Their Eyes on PSG’s Draxler for a Free Transfer This Summer

Julian Draxler’s contract will expire at the end of the 2020-21 season, where he could depart from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

According to Sport.fr, Sevilla FC has its eyes on the 27-year-old as the Spanish club continues to look for talent in Ligue 1. Over the last couple of transfer windows, Sevilla has poached players like Luis Ocampos, Diego Carlos, and Jules Koundé, to name a few.

Draxler is likely leaving the capital club as his playing time has gone down since arriving in 2016. This season, the German international has only made six appearances for Les Parisiens and will be looking for a club that can offer him a significant role.

Sevilla FC is currently in 12th place and finds itself six points outside of a UEFA Champions League spot. It will be interesting to see if playing in Champions League competition factors into Draxler’s decision when choosing a new club if he leaves this summer.
