Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is now deemed to be available to feature in the team’s upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against AS Monaco later this week, according to a report from RMC Sport.
Neymar is already back with PSG after making an early return from international duty with the Brazilian national team. Neymar is still recovering from his adductor injury that he suffered a couple of weeks ago, but as the report mentions, the Brazilian is no longer feeling pain. He has made good enough progress as of late to be deemed ready to make his long-awaited return to feature with the team against Monaco.
Neymar reportedly wants to go on and play against Monaco, so the final call will be made by PSG on whether the Brazilian may be ready for in-game action.
The report also mentions that Neymar and his representatives are appreciative of how PSG’s medical staff and management have handled his injury. PSG made it clear from the get-go that it wanted to gradually work on helping him recover from his injury in order to not worsen his condition.
For now, it will be up to PSG on whether Neymar will play against Monaco. The club could possibly give him minutes off of the bench as a way to dust off any rust ahead of the team’s upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against RB Leipzig next week.
