Report: Neymar Aiming to be Back for Fixture Against AS Monaco

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is back with the club after returning from international duty with the Brazil national team. He did not play in Brazil’s fixture against Venezuela due to his adductor injury. Brazil national team officials decided that it was best to release him early so he can continue to recover from his injury with PSG’s medical staff.

Overall, Neymar is aiming to play in PSG’s Ligue 1 fixture against AS Monaco, according to a report from Le Parisien.

The report specifies that Neymar is hoping to at the least feature in a portion of the fixture. So based on this report, he would be open to coming off of the bench and playing in some minutes, which would be a plus for him as it would help in dusting off any rust from the lengthy layoff in play.

PSG is also hoping to have both Marco Verratti and Mauro Icardi back for the contest against Monaco. The two PSG talents have been dealing with injuries as of late, but they each did recently return to training.
