Official Lineup: Mbappe Returns to PSG’s Starting 11 for Ligue 1 Fixture Against AS Monaco

With the final international break of the year in the books, Paris Saint-Germain is now set for its last games before the winter break. The good news for the club is that many players made good progress from their respective injuries over the past couple of weeks. Still, several players were not added to the squad list for PSG’s fixture against AS Monaco due to their lingering injuries. But manager Thomas Tuchel is still rolling out a strong starting 11 for this key game.

Keylor Navas takes his usual spot as the starting goalkeeper for PSG. He is aiming for yet another clean sheet in league play this season.

With Marquinhos having just returned from the international window with the Brazilian national team, Tuchel is electing to start the defender on the bench. Still, Presnel Kimpembe is back and ready to start for the club in this key fixture.

PSG’s midfield has been notably hit hard with injuries as of late. Tuchel is not taking any risks with his midfield unit as he ruled out several midfielders for this contest due to their slight injuries. Thus, Danilo Pereira will be leading PSG in the midfield in its 4-2-2 setup. He had just returned from international duty with the Portuguese national team but is deemed fit enough to start in this game. More so, Rafinha is also earning a start for the team in this contest, which will provide him with a key opportunity to showcase his midfield play once again.

PSG’s attack welcomes the return of Kylian Mbappe. He dealt with complications to his hamstring over the past weeks but is now deemed to be recovered from the slight issue. Moise Kean will accompany him upfront to form the team’s duo-striker setup.

PSG is currently riding a 12-game unbeaten streak against Monaco in all competitions.
