Paris Saint-Germain defender Juan Bernat has been out of action since suffering a serious ACL injury last month. Bernat wound up undergoing reconstructive surgery on his left knee and is currently rehabbing.
For the first time in weeks, Bernat provided another update on his recovery progress from his ACL injury. The left-back is still in the midst of a recovery program with PSG for his injury. On his official Instagram profile, Bernat posted a message that read: “Today is a month after the operation. A difficult month where I had to go under the knife for the second time because of an infection but now everything is better and working hard to recover my knee. A hug to all and thank you very much for your support.”
It will still be quite a while before Bernat is able to return to action with PSG due to the lengthy time needed to fully make a recovery from this serious injury. The club could possibly see the left-back return in time to feature in the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League knockout stage if Thomas Tuchel’s side is able to progress that far in the tournament again.
For now, PSG will continue to monitor just how well Bernat is continuing to make progress from the injury.
