Le Classique is the marquee matchup in French football; however, the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille not only ended up being a physical confrontation but one that involved alleged racist remarks.
During the highly contested game from both squads, Neymar Jr. alleges that Álvaro González crossed the line.
According to the 28-year-old, the Spain international called him a “Son of a monkey p ***.” The cameras caught Neymar shouting “Racismo no” to the assistant referee in the match.

However, despite plenty of microphones and television cameras around the Parc des Prince, Téléfoot (via Canal Supporters) cannot confirm Neymar’s allegations. It’s not to say it didn’t happen, but their equipment didn’t pick up the alleged racist remarks that González made.
Other networks were broadcasting the match with cameras and microphones from different angles, so they might’ve picked up the sound of the Neymar and González confrontation where the word was said.
