Report: PSG Set to Resume Training on Sept. 2

Paris Saint-Germain is currently on a short break and plans on returning to training on Sept. 2, according to L’Equipe (via TuttoMercatoWeb).

PSG is coming off of a lengthy run of fixtures over the past couple of months. The team featured in four friendly fixtures and five official contests, including its duo of domestic cup final wins.

Following the recent loss to FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final, PSG is currently on a short, much-needed vacation. Its Ligue 1 season opener against Lens was postponed until Sept. 10, which means that the club will go 18 consecutive days without playing in a fixture.

For some players on the team, they likely will be taking part in competitive action between now and the club’s Ligue 1 opener. Julian Draxler and Thilo Kehrer were both called up to the German national team for its upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures in early September. Other talents such as Kylian Mbappe are sure to receive a call-up for international duty.
