Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas is set to make his return to collective training on Thursday, according to a report from RMC Sport.
Navas missed PSG’s UEFA Champions League semifinal contest against RB Leipzig due to a hamstring injury. The Costa Rican goalkeeper suffered the injury during PSG’s quarterfinal win over Serie A side Atalanta. PSG later announced that the veteran goalkeeper came away from the matchup with a tear in his femoral biceps.
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel elected to start Sergio Rico in place of Navas against RB Leipzig, and the Spanish goalkeeper did well in the biggest game of his career; he recorded three saves and logged a clean sheet in the contest.
Navas did not take part in any workouts with the team on Wednesday. Per the report, Navas is now slated to join his PSG teammates for a collective training session on Thursday barring no setbacks from his injury.
PSG is hoping that Navas will be available to feature in the upcoming Champions League final on Aug. 23.
