It’s time for another update on former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani’s rumored move to SL Benfica.
Over the last couple of weeks, plenty of news has trickled out into the public about the 33-year-old heading to the Portuguese club after his contract with Les Parisiens expired.
Rumored reports about a contract agreement have left some wondering when El Matador will put pen to paper to make the deal official. It looks like a contract signing could occur soon as Cavani is heading to Paris to hammer out the details before putting his signature, according to O Jogo.
The Uruguay international is leaving the farm with his brother, Walter Guglielmone, and the leaders of Benfica. The Portuguese newspaper also adds that Cavani could sign a three-year deal; however, his wage payments will scatter over six years.
We will see if Cavani finally signs with Benfica since he’s reportedly showing enthusiasm and receptivity to join the club.

“O Jogo” is not a great resource. It’s a FC Porto regime newspaper.
