Plenty of Paris Saint-Germain players remain inside their homes under quarantine as they won’t be able to resume practice until late June. As a result, it leaves plenty of time to conduct interviews.
Idrissa Gueye recently took some time out of his day to answer some questions through the club’s social media channels for the “Junior Club,” a program for young supporters of the capital club.
The 30-year-old midfielder answered a variety of questions from when he started playing football to his funniest teammate.

The job I wanted to do when I was little?
When I was little, I dreamed of being a doctor. But, ultimately, football decided for me.
The best advice I’ve been given?
It’s easy, it’s work. For me, this is the best advice. I was always told “work, and it will always pay off”.
How old was I when I started football?
From childhood I played soccer, like my son now (laughs). I slept with the ball, the best gift I have ever had was a ball. That’s what I have had on all my birthdays (laughs).
My funniest teammate?
It’s difficult, but I would say, [Angel] Di Maria.
The most beautiful technical gesture?
For me, it’s a finish: the acrobatic flip. For me, it’s beautiful.
My favorite series?
I would say Game of Thrones.
My favorite place in Paris?
It’s at my place (laughs).
