If it wasn’t clear before that Angel Di Maria and his family really didn’t enjoy their one season at Manchester United, his wife left no doubt.
On the Spanish morning show Los Angeles de la Manana (via Daily Mail), Jorgelina Cardoso went on a rant where she listed everything she hates about Manchester.
“I begged Angel, any place but England. And one year later we were in Manchester, s***.”
Di Maria moved to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in 2014.
“I didn’t like anything at all. The people were all skinny, neat, weird. You are walking and you don’t know if they are going to kill you or not.”
Cardoso’s safety concern isn’t unwarranted. Burglars unsuccessfully tried to break into their home in 2015 while the family was inside. This forced the family to move into a hotel as Cardoso was too scared to return to the home.
“The food is disgusting. The girls all use a lot of makeup like they are dolls.”
These comments from Cardoso aren’t that surprising considering PSG’s backup goalkeeper, Marcin Bulka, said that Di Maria can’t even watch Manchester United on television. Last season, when PSG traveled to Old Trafford to play Man U in the UEFA Champions League, Di Maria celebrated a goal by screaming expletives at the opposing supporters.

We’ve seen a player have a go at his old club for whatever reason in the past but this is truly a family effort to take down not only a club and a city but an entire country! My one wish for next season is for PSG to play Manchester United at Old Trafford. I don’t care if it’s a friendly. It’s time to decide this rivalry once and for all.
