PSG Transfer Target Reportedly Said ‘I’m Only Going to Barcelona’

Paris Saint-Germain made contact with Juventus FC midfielder Miralem Pjanic but it appears they were too late to the party.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, made Pjanic an attractive offer but it’s not enough to turn his attention away from the Catalan club. “I’m only going to Barca,” Pjanic reportedly said.

The report goes on to reveal that Pjanic believes his style of football is best suited at Barcelona and that he wants to play alongside Lionel Messi.

Considering Barcelona’s financial situation, which isn’t great, they will likely have to offer Juventus a package of players to convince them to agree to the deal.

You hate to lose a transfer target in general but especially to Barcelona, but I’m not that upset about Pjanic. If he prefers to play with Messi, who will be 33-years-old this summer, and for a club with severe financial issues, then that’s his issue. He’ll also try to reverse the trend of high-profile players joining the club (Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembélé, Philippe Coutinho) who have flopped at the Camp Nou.
