Video: Sarabia Comes on as Sub Against Monaco; Scores a Minute Later

You can’t draw it up any better than Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel did against AS Monaco on Wednesday night.

In the 71st minute against the Principality club, Tuchel made a double substitution bringing on Pablo Sarabia and Marco Verratti for Mauro Icardi and Idrissa Gueye. A minute later, the two newcomers combined with their first touch of the game to score PSG’s third goal on the night.

Initially, the goal was called offside but it was immediately reviewed by VAR and the goal was allowed. Sarabia has now scored seven goals in 24 appearances but none perhaps as difficult as this one. It’s an excellent volley from the Spaniard and even more impressive when you consider he had just come into the game after sitting on the bench for more than an hour.
