Angel Di Maria played a pass to the Frenchman who made a great run to get behind the Monaco defense. From there, Mbappé couldn’t be caught and he finished with ease past Benjamin Lecomte.
The goal is Mbappé’s 20th in 21 total appearances this season but despite the breakthrough, the 21-year-old showed his class by not celebrating against his former team. Mbappé came through the Monaco youth team and played with the first team when they made that incredible run to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League and won Ligue 1 over PSG during the 2016-17 season.
