There’s something about Ligue 1 that brings out the worst dad jokes and puns on social media. With teams like Toulouse (to-lose), Angers, Brest, and Nice it’s easy to see why. There’s one team though that always seems to turn everyone into a comedian.
On Friday, Paris Saint-Germain lost 2-1 to Dijon FCO at the Stade Gaston Gérard and the shocking result made the rounds on all the usual football websites. It’s not often that the French giants, currently first in Ligue 1, lose to a last-place team and look bad doing it.
As news spread, so did the awful mustard jokes (pun intended). Sometimes, after a difficult loss where your team plays poorly and wastes easy scoring opportunities, all you can do is laugh. Here is a collection of tweets from people who thought they were being clever with their Dijon/mustard jokes:

The joy that people get when PSG lose a league game is so immense that it blinds them from realizing they’re repeating a really bad joke on the Internet for the world to see.
PSG currently sits seven points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table and five points clear at the top of their UEFA Champions League group having not conceded a goal in three matches. If you’re going to come at PSG for one relatively meaningless loss, come a bit harder than lame mustard jokes.
