All eyes will be on Paris Saint-Germain’s match against FC Bayern Munich on November 4, in what is one of the marquee matchups of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.
PSG supporters will fill the Parc des Princes, but for those who can’t get a ticket—and those around the world—the best way to take in the action will be via streaming on a phone, tablet, or television. So, when fans aren’t playing the latest games at Royalvegascasino.com, they can watch Les Parisiens take on the reigning Bundesliga champions.
PSG and Bayern Munich faced off earlier this summer in the FIFA Club World Cup. It was a quarter-final match, and despite a late red card for Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernández, PSG held on for the 2-0 win with goals from Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé.
Prior to that match, Bayern Munich hosted PSG on November 26, in the league phase of the Champions League. That was when PSG was still finding its footing under Luis Enrique and lost 1-0.
After three matches, PSG and Bayern Munich are first and second in the league phase table, with nine points each. The winner of this match will be the clear-cut favorite to win the tournament.
For Bayern Munich, they rely on their talented forwards. Harry Kane is one of the most prolific scorers the game has ever seen, and Michael Olise has impressed so much that he is apparently a dream transfer target for PSG. Defensively, Dayot Upamecano is as good as it gets at center-back, and Sacha Boey is a versatile right-back who can cause PSG issues.
As good as Bayern Munich is, PSG might have the advantage at almost every position. Luis Enrique is also more experienced and accomplished as a manager than Vincent Kompany. PSG has the Ballon d’Or winner, Dembélé, back and healthy. Doué is lighting it up for PSG and is ready to perform well against a Bayern side that tried to sign him when he was at Stade Rennais.
But, as always, PSG’s ultimate weapon is its full-backs, Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi. Those two players are the best in the world at their positions. They are involved in everything PSG does, both in attack and in defense. No team has consistently been able to slow them down, and I think they will be the difference.
And who can forget about Vitinha in the midfield? The Portugal international has elevated his game and is now widely considered one of the best, if not the best, midfielders in world football. Alongside João Neves and Fabian Ruiz, the trio has proven they are an elite at controlling the midfield and dictating the pace of play.
My prediction is a 2-1 win for PSG with Dembélé scoring early and a late goal coming from Hakimi. The win will almost certainly solidify PSG’s place in the top 8 of the league phase and afford them some rest time later this season, which they will desperately need. They will also be considered favorites to win back-to-back Champions League titles.
