Paris Saint-Germain was linked to various strikers this past summer transfer window. However, the Parisians didn’t bring in a No. 9, opting to confide in Gonçalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani, but that doesn’t mean the capital club didn’t want to push for a striker.

Over the summer, the striker who was linked constantly to the Ligue 1 side was former Napoli standout Victor Osimhen. Every week, new information surfaced as to how interested the French giants were in the Nigerian.

Nonetheless, the deadline came and went, and PSG did not land the 25-year-old. Osimhen would head out on loan to Galatasaray S.K. rather than the French capital or Chelsea, but the Napoli star wasn’t the only player PSG had their eyes on.

Juventus News 24 (h/t Foot01) reports that PSG showed serious interest in Juventus’ Dušan Vlahović. The Old Lady signed the Serbian international from Fiorentina for €80 million two years ago and is under contract until 2026.

Still, he’s struggled to find his form in Turin, where Massimiliano Allegri’s defensive tactics haven’t precisely showcased his talents.

PSG’s interest in Vlahovic was so strong that Juventus even considered signing Jonathan David from LOSC Lille as a backup plan in case the 24-year-old striker left.

However, like with the Osimhen situation, PSG sought input from Luis Campos and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi before ultimately following Luis Enrique’s recommendation.
