This week, L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi reveals that Paris Saint-Germain was aware of Leny Yoro’s health concerns. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reveals that these issues weren’t a major hurdle in stopping the capital club from pursuing the teenager.
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are worried that their new signing, Yoro, might be out for up to two months due to a fractured metatarsal.
Tanzi then reported that Yoro’s recent injury, possibly a fractured metatarsal, might keep him out for months, drawing significant attention.
PSG mentioned that they were aware of Yoro’s physical vulnerabilities, which is why they didn’t match or come close to the amount Manchester United paid for him.
“Let me clarify some things, first of all, Manchester United have all the guarantees on the physical situation of Leny Yoro,” Romano said (h/t The Peoples Person).
“So they are not worried about long-term, he’s been really unlucky…but in general they are not worried at all and the tests were absolutely perfect. Reports of other clubs pulling out of the race for Leny Yoro because of the physical condition of the player is something I can guarantee is not the case.”
“All the clubs wanted to sign Leny Yoro…PSG, Liverpool and Real Madrid of course. All of them wanted Yoro and no one pulled out of the race because he was not in good condition. This is absolutely not the case.”
There’s no denying that Yoro has the talent to be a quality center-back, but it will be interesting to see whose report is accurate. Nonetheless, Manchester United have a quality young player while the Parisians still need to improve their defense.
