Earlier this month, a report out of Italy revealed that Arsenal are making a strong push for Napoli standout Victor Osimhen. However, the Gunners are reportedly not a serious contender for the 25-year-old goal scorer.
RadioRadio recently reported that Arsenal are making a strong push for the Nigerian striker. Nonetheless, he’s already reached an agreement with PSG, which includes a much higher salary than what Arsenal can offer.
On Wednesday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided the latest information on the Osimhen file and revealed that even though there are rumors linking the player to the Gunners, there are no negotiations.
“Finally on Chelsea, there is still no major update or change to the Victor Osimhen situation,” Romano said in his column for CaughtOffside. “They never left the race, but Osimhen still insists on a permanent transfer and he won’t lower his salary demands.
“I’m also not aware of any negotiation ongoing right now with other clubs, despite some reports in Italy mentioning Arsenal. PSG had the green light from Osimhen one month ago but then they started working on different targets, so as far as I know there are currently no discussions ongoing with other clubs.”
Moreover, on Tuesday, Sports Zone reported that with Samu Omorodion’s transfer falling through, a new opportunity arises for Osimhen to finalize a deal with Chelsea.
The outlet also revealed that the deal is expected to go through. The Napoli star had initially agreed to join the Parisians, but there isn’t unanimous support for him at PSG.
