In the coming weeks, one of Paris Saint-Germain’s marquee matches will be their UEFA Champions League clash against Arsenal on October 1 at Emirates Stadium. However, the Gunners could be without a key player.
The international window hasn’t been kind to Arsenal and PSG as their players have picked up injuries while playing for their respective national teams.
From the Parisian’s perspective, Vitinha, Désiré Doué, and Warren Zaïre-Emery are all returning to the French capital having suffered an injury this window. Nonetheless, Vitinha and Doué have reportedly avoided a serious issue that keeps them out for a while.
On the other hand, there’s some uncertainty about Zaïre-Emery’s availability for the start of the Champions League campaign. The Gunners could be without a vital part of their attack for the clash in a couple of weeks.
Le Parisien reports that Martin Ødegaard may miss the Champions League match against PSG on October 1. The Norwegian national team’s doctor has estimated that the midfielder will need at least three weeks to recover from an ankle injury.

If the estimation is accurate, then the Premier League side will need to overcome a massive absence from their squad as they attempt to advance in the league phase of the competition.
