Fabián Ruiz had a coming out party during Spain’s run to win UEFA Euro 2024. The 28-year-old played all six matches as a starter for Spain as the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder scored two goals and recorded two assists.
Moreover, Ruiz recorded 1.7 key passes per game, 65.2 passes per game, and a 91 percent pass completion percentage. All these numbers showed how great a tournament the 28-year-old had for La Roja.
Now that the Euros are over, Ruiz’s stock has risen and now other clubs are taking an interest in the former Napoli standout. According to journalist Duncan Castles, Arsenal have started discussions with PSG about acquiring Ruiz.
The deal hinges on Arsenal selling one of their current midfielders. They’re aiming for a one-year loan with an obligation to buy.

English pundit Jamie Carragher wrote on platform X that Ruiz should’ve won player of the game over Rodri. As a result, the player already has an admirer should he decide to move to the Gunners.
“Ruiz was better in this tournament,” Carragher said.
