Man Utd Boost? Bayern Munich Pass on PSG Midfielder Linked to AC Milan, Atlético Madrid

Manchester United are aiming to bolster their midfield this summer by pursuing Manuel Ugarte. Additionally, the 23-year-old is reportedly attracting interest from AC Milan and Atlético Madrid, indicating significant interest in the midfielder.

Ugarte began his first season at Paris Saint-Germain impressively, but as the season progressed, his role diminished, often seeing him come off the bench or rotate in the squad.

The latest information regarding Ugarte comes from Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, who reports that the Uruguayan is currently a significant transfer target for Manchester United.

Moreover, Plettenberg reports that talks have occurred as Ugarte could depart PSG this summer. The Red Devils aim to bolster their central midfield and have also received a boost since the rumors linking Ugarte to Bayern Munich are not concrete since the player isn’t a priority for the German club.

Ugarte expressed his desire to stay back in May, so it’ll be interesting to see if he gets his wish or if PSG decides to part ways after just one season.

“We’ll see,” Ugarte told Amazon Prime. “I would love to [stay at PSG]. We’ll have to see. For now, I’m here and enjoying the end of the season.”

The former Sporting Lisbon standout appeared in 37 matches across all competitions for PSG last season, registering three assists.
