Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are often mentioned in connection with Napoli’s star player, Victor Osimhen. It seems the Nigerian striker is set to leave the Italian club this summer, with speculation pointing towards the Premier League as his desired move.
Since joining Napoli from Ligue 1’s LOSC Lille, the Nigerian international has scored 76 goals, 65 of which came in Serie A, across 133 appearances. Additionally, Osimhen played a pivotal role in Napoli’s triumph in the 2022-23 league championship.
Now that the player has tasted success in Serie A, it’s likely he’s considering a new challenge, eyeing a move to the Premier League.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t The Mirror) reports that Osimhen believes that Arsenal will attempt to sign him from Napoli in the upcoming transfer window.
The information adds that the 25-year-old prolific forward is expecting an approach from Arsenal in the coming weeks. Chelsea and Napoli are not actively engaging in talks for Osimhen, while PSG is keen on the striker’s teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
As a result, it gives the Gunners a free path to land the player this summer as they look to bolster their attack next season.
