With the 2023-24 Ligue 1 season wrapped up, all eyes are on the future of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte. The Uruguayan started his debut season with the club on a strong note, making a solid impression from the get-go.
As the season progressed, he found himself playing less frequently, mostly coming on as a substitute or just being part of the rotation. Now, the Uruguayan is being linked to AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli, with all three Serie A clubs probably interested in signing him to give him more playing time.
Ugarte is now with the Uruguay national team ahead of the Copa América next month. Nonetheless, the 23-year-old was asked about his future in the French capital, and he remains committed to trying to make the situation work despite the challenging second half of the season.
“There is a lot of excitement here, especially after the great things we have experienced,” Ugarte said. “This always renews our energy, and it’s important that we are 100 percent focused on what’s coming (the Copa).”

The Parisians were in the same situation last year with Vitinha and their patience paid off this season after a rollercoaster Year 1 with the Ligue 1 side.
