Xavi Simons is generating a lot of interest as the summer transfer window approaches. This season, Simons has been a standout player at RB Leipzig, featuring in 41 matches across all competitions.
As a result, the 21-year-old, who is currently on loan to RB Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain, has several suitors looking for him as a potential player that they can bring in this summer.
Rumors recently linked the Dutchman to clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, but recent information from journalist Ben Jacobs in his column for CaughtOffside might dash their hopes of pursuing Simons.
“A permanent sale is viewed by sources as the least likely scenario,” Jacobs declared. “It’s not totally impossible should an incredible offer be tabled and Simons wants a fresh challenge, but suggestions Chelsea and Arsenal are advancing anything at this stage are not correct according to my understanding.”
In a recent update from transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano, it has been revealed that Simons’ future is set to undergo deliberation as the season draws to a close. His information reveals that discussions regarding the young talent’s trajectory are slated to occur within the upcoming weeks.
Moreover, Romano disclosed that RB Leipzig have conveyed their interest in prolonging Simons’ loan for an additional year. However, the ultimate verdict now rests with PSG, and the player himself will play a pivotal role in the decision-making process.
