Real Madrid Star Faces ‘Challenge’ to Stay as Mbappé Arrival Nears, Amid Arsenal Interest

It has been reported that Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé will leave the capital club this summer as his contract expires. Many anticipate his potential move to Real Madrid, a development that could complicate Rodrygo’s situation at the Spanish giants.

Journalist Marco Ruiz has dedicated his Sunday column to Rodrygo and noted the challenge that the Brazilian faces with the arrival of Mbappé. The Frenchman will push every attacking player down a peg on the depth chart and cause some players to play different roles.

“The Brazilian handles pressure like no other,” Ruiz wrote (h/t Bernabéu Digital). “Especially now with Mbappé’s arrival putting his aspirations to remain a starter in jeopardy. There will be minutes for everyone; Ancelotti knows how to handle those issues, but not as many options in decisive matches or finals.

“With Mbappé at Madrid, everyone (Rodrygo, Brahim, Joselu, Endrick…) drops a notch in their status within the squad. It’s difficult to compete against that. If you want to be at the best club in history, you have to expect that they’ll also sign the best players. Staying here, for Rodrygo, will be a challenge.”

Although reports indicate his desire to remain with Los Blancos, could a Premier League club lure him away? Arsenal, one English club eager to secure his services, will make every effort to bring him to North London.

According to a recent report, Arsenal want to sign Rodrygo in the summer transfer window. The Gunners want to bolster their attack for next season, and they’ll have to do their best to convince the Brazilian to leave.

  1. Our most important concern this Summer will be to sell Gabriel Jesus and replace with 55m pounds Atletico Madrid Samu Omorodion who is on loan at Alaves.
Additionally getting Rodrygo means Trossard has to be sold.
Arsenal should also get 12m pounds rated David Odogu from Wolfsburg to be an understudy to Saliba.
