Last Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain lost 3-2 to FC Barcelona at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal matchup.
The team from the capital faced some defense challenges during their first leg loss. Even though they were ahead 2-1 at first, they ended up letting in two goals without reply.
PSG can potentially rectify its defensive errors, which will significantly enhance its chances in next week’s second leg against Barcelona. One of the players who faced difficulties in the first leg loss was 20-year-old Lucas Beraldo.
Le Parisien reports that in private, Beraldo admitted to having had a “really tough” evening against Barcelona, but some close associates were surprised by his high position on the field.
He found himself in a similar situation against Olympique de Marseille. Speed isn’t his strong suit, so it will be interesting to see how manager Luis Enrique fixes the issues on the defensive line.

RMC Sport pundit Daniel Riolo discussed the defense and noted that manager Enrique is doing a terrible job helping Lucas Beraldo adapt to European football.
Riolo believes the youngster was exposed in Barcelona’s loss, so the Spanish manager has a lot to consider these next few days before Tuesday’s clash.
