The fallout from Kylian Mbappé opting to watch the second half of the Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco contest in the stands rather than on the bench continues to fuel the football media.
On the latest episode of “The Gab & Juls Show,” Gab Marcotti sounded off on the 25-year-old. He noted that Mbappé should know better regarding the behavior the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner displayed.
“At a normal club with grown-ups in charge, [if] you do this, you get fined,” Marcotti said. “It’s disrespectful to your teammates. He should know better. By the way, you try pulling that crap at Real Madrid; you just go and do that… Already, they don’t like you. Already they’re thinking what you did before you have to win us over.”
Le Parisian recently shared details about what happened in the dressing room before the drama unfolded. According to the French media outlet, Enrique briefly informed Mbappé of his substitution for Kolo Muani at halftime without explaining.
Additionally, the report points out that Enrique and Mbappé initially had a relationship based on respect, trust, and dialogue. However, their recent interactions have become noticeably brief, indicating a dynamic shift.
In a separate report, the PSG star’s entourage reassures the French media that there is no controversy and the player remains focused on Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League match.
