Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Renato Sanches will return to the French capital after his loan stint with AS Roma ends this season. The Portuguese player went to Serie A to rediscover his past form with LOSC Lille, and it hasn’t gone as planned.
Sanches has appeared in 10 matches so far for the Italian club and scored one goal. Nonetheless, health issues have followed him to Roma, as he’s suffered various injuries, such as muscle and ankle injuries.
As a result, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Roma will not be keeping Sanches on a permanent basis. The 26-year-old is very expensive for the Italian club and should return to the club in the French capital.
L’AS Roma ne devrait pas conserver Renato Sanches, en prêt en provenance du PSG. 👋

PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos will now need to figure out how to offload Sanches again. He’s probably not part of the Parisians’ plans, and with so many midfielders, it would be best for him to head elsewhere to try and revitalize his career.
Transfermarkt has Sanches’ transfer value at €8 million, but it’s likely another loan deal will be needed.
