Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly be in the market for a center-back this summer transfer window. The capital club are linked to various names, one of which is LOSC Lille’s Leny Yoro. However, one journalist believes that the Frenchman is closer to Real Madrid.
Yoro is one of the young French talents that many top European clubs are vying for. The Parisians want to secure Yoro as they have prioritized landing French talent as part of their new transfer policy.
Nonetheless, MARCA’s José Félix Díaz spoke with Rubén Martín on the Cadena Cope journalist’s Twitch channel and noted that Yoro could soon be joining Los Blancos.
“Right now Leny Yoro is closer to Real Madrid than Alphonso Davies,” Díaz said (h/t Bernabéu Digital).
If Yoro wants to go to Real Madrid and the Spanish club gets aggressive in their pursuit, it’s because they have concerns over their center-back position. Nacho Fernández’s contract expires in June and David Alaba and Éder Militao are coming off two serious knee injuries.
The Austrian cannot compete in UEFA Euro 2024, while the Brazilian will return after the international break.
