Real Madrid Signing PSG Superstar: World Cup Winner’s ‘Be Careful’ Warning

While Real Madrid is likely excited about the prospect of adding Kylian Mbappé this summer, former Spain national team manager Vicente del Bosque did cite a concern over adding the Frenchman.

From a sporting perspective, the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner believes the 25-year-old will do Real Madrid well. Bosque highlights the qualities that Mbappé will bring to the team.

“He’s a great player, but he’s arriving in a team at the moment which is playing very well,” Bosque told Flashscore News. “He’s bound to improve what’s already there, but be careful… Real Madrid have a very good squad.

“We mustn’t underestimate those who are there. He’ll be arriving in a well-established team that’s ready to go, but yes, there’s no doubt that he’ll bring his little extra touch.”

However, his concerns over the signing are due to the shakeup the locker room is about to experience should the Frenchman arrive.

“From the outside, I have the impression that they have a healthy group of players, a good group,” Bosque added. “They all get on well, which is very important. And, of course, the way Carlo [Ancelotti] manages the team, I think it’s ideal, and he does it very well.

“I’m in favor of this gene, of managing a dressing room like this. I’m not saying it’s the only way to manage a dressing room. What’s fundamental is that you make the working environment ideal. That’s what we were talking about earlier. Without that, it’s difficult to win.”

It will be interesting to see how some players will react to seeing their playing time cut or needing to play another position. Mbappé might have to play the No. 9 role at Real Madrid, but it’s not his preferred position. As a result, it will be interesting to follow how long he plays that position before he does another “pivot gang” controversy.

A move to the left wing would put Vinicius Junior out on the right wing, and Rodrygo could be the odd man out unless one of the Brazilians opts to play the striker role.
