PSG Wil Do ‘Everything Possible’ to Beat Barcelona in UCL Tie, Ex-Player Says

Paris Saint-Germain is set to take on FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. If PSG progresses, they’ll meet the victor of Atletico Madrid versus Borussia Dortmund.

Luis Enrique and his team have a clear path to the final as they get to avoid Manchester City and Real Madrid. Now that the FIFA international break is over, various opinions on who will win between Barcelona and PSG are beginning to surface.

Former PSG player Mohamed Sissoko weighed in on who will advance between the two teams and be one step closer to reaching the final.

“Barcelona has improved recently and is playing well, and some of its young players, like Yamal and Pau Cubarsí, have performed at astonishing levels,” Sissoko told Diario AS. “But PSG are favorites. Mbappé will arrive at the tie motivated because it is his last year with that shirt, and he will do everything possible to win the title.”

Opta published the odds of who will win the tournament now that eight teams remain. The Parisians are ahead of notable clubs like Bayern Munich [11 percent] and Barcelona [five percent], as Opta sees the capital club as with the fourth-best odds of winning the Champions League.

PSG have Kylian Mbappé and if the complimentary pieces on the team step up, the capital club has a shot at advancing.
