PSG Replacing Outgoing Star with Real Madrid Standout Terrible Decision, Expert Says

Paris Saint-Germain will have all summer to execute their plan to replace the outgoing Kylian Mbappé this summer. However, one journalist warns the capital club to avoid one player as a potential replacement for the Frenchman.

Mbappé’s contract expires in June, and he is reportedly leaving the Parisians. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is expected to join Real Madrid as a free agent. However, whatever PSG’s plan is to replace Mbappé, there’s one player they should avoid.

RMC Sport journalist Daniel Riolo states that the Ligue 1 side should rule out pursuing Vinicius Junior. For the pundit, attempting to land the Brazilian would be a mistake.

“I imagine that with Mbappé at Real Madrid, PSG will try to bring in Vinicius,” Riolo said on After Foot RMC (h/t Le10Sport). “I think it would be the worst thing in the world to get Vinicius. Him in Paris, I give him three months before completely sinking.

“PSG will try to sign Vinicius and figure out how to get him. They’ll attempt the deal, I’m not saying they’ll succeed. PSG, when they want something, can create doubt at Real. If PSG offers a large sum, Pérez might eventually give in. That would be the worst recruitment mistake.”

It will be interesting to see what route PSG takes to replace the production that Mbappé leaves behind. The French giants could stick to the forward group they already have and use sums to improve other areas in the squad. Xavi Simons will also be returning from his loan stint, so there are different ways the club can take.
