PSG Prepares to Block Real Madrid from Grab Star Defender As Extensions Talks Begin

Real Madrid are reportedly landing Kylian Mbappé this summer once he becomes a free agent. However, the Spanish giants want another player from Paris Saint-Germain, as Achraf Hakimi is on their radar.

Last month, a report surfaced that the 25-year-old wants the La Liga side to recruit one of his closest friends to join him at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Nonetheless, the capital club wants to avoid losing another player leaving for the Spanish capital.

Le Parisien reports that PSG has started talks to extend Hakimi’s contract for two to three additional years. To date, the Moroccan does not plan to leave Paris. He embodies the club’s future. Hakimi’s entourage has also denied the rumors of him wanting to leave.

The PSG defender would fit with the search that the Merengue club is carrying out for the right back in 2025. The 25-year-old’s contract with the Parisians expires in 2026, so these next couple of years will be interesting to follow.

Another recent report also revealed that manager Carlo Ancelotti values Hakimi, who would come to reinforce the right back that currently has Dani Carvajal and the option of Lucas Vázquez.
