Paris Saint-Germain has struck gold with the signing of Lucas Beraldo, who appears to have a projection of being a starting center-back for the capital club. Nonetheless, could the Parisians be looking at another Brazilian defender to replicate what they had in Thiago Silva and Marquinhos?
Over the last few weeks, the French giants have seen their name linked to various young backs as the team begins injecting youth into the position. One of the newest names to surface is Nottingham Forest defender Murillo.
According to the Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel, PSG are among the clubs eyeing the Brazilian talent. Furthermore, the 21-year-old is drawing interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Barcelona.

The defender arrived last summer from Corinthians and is under contract until 2028. However, Forest are currently in a relegation battle, so it will be interesting to see how this situation plays out if they go down to the Championship.
Murillo has started 23 Premier League games this season while averaging 1.1 interceptions, 1.5 tackles, 5.8 clearances, and 4.8 balls recovered per game for the English club, per SofaScore. As for the potential cost, Transfermarkt puts the defender’s transfer value at €25 million.
